Fannin Elementary School in Bryan ISD has received the distinct honor of being selected as the first “Leader in Me” school in the Brazos Valley. As part of the selection, the school will receive a five-year grant to implement the “Leader in Me” program throughout the campus.
This program of distinction guides schools in establishing a culture of character and leadership with its teachers and students, providing training, coaching and materials. The implementation of the program will empower Fannin students with the leadership and life skills needed to thrive in the 21st century.
Fannin Principal Dr. Desiree Caperton said, “Fannin is honored to be selected as a ‘Leader in Me’ school. This model reveals what is possible, that we can change the life of each student within the school to prepare them to have the foundational tools needed for life. We are inspired!”
