Bryan ISD Employees Receive Supplemental Pay for Work Done During COVID-19

12/7/20

Dear Bryan ISD Employees,

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we let you know our Board of Trustees has just approved a one-time supplement to your pay as a very small token of our appreciation for all of the work you’ve done since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Salaried employees, known as exempt employees, such as teachers, counselors, librarians, and nurses as well as administrators and professional staff will receive a $500 stipend.*

Hourly employees, known as non-exempt employees, such as auxiliary, custodial, school nutrition, bus drivers and aides, and paraprofessional staff will receive a $250 stipend.*

This will be part of your December 15 paycheck.

You have given so much of yourself, your time, your energy, even your own health, sacrificing to ensure our students have been cared for.

You have been critically important, front-line workers whose sacrifices have kept our community together, even while the situation with COVID-19 continues. Your efforts have helped us to keep the virus at bay and most importantly, to keep our children in school.

We hope this one-time payment is helpful, especially this time of year. We can’t express enough how much you are appreciated in Bryan ISD.

With Sincere Gratitude,

Dr. Christie Whitbeck

Bryan ISD Superintendent

Mark McCall

Bryan ISD Board President
