Students have the opportunity to earn credit for a course or grade level by taking Credit by Exam(s). Advancement opportunities for students in grades K- 12 will be offered 4 times annually either at the campus/district level. The cost of the exam(s) is free to the student but a $20.00 deposit is required for each exam and will be returned upon exam completion.

A student may be accelerated one grade if he/she meets the following requirements:
● The parent gives written approval,
● A district representative gives written approval, including the following in the determination: the student’s results on DRA, universal screeners, unit and state assessments, and
● The student scores at least 80% on each exam in the following areas: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies

Grades 6 - 12 High School Credits
|
A student may earn credit for a specific class if he/she meets the following requirements;
● Student takes the exam (CBE, AP, CLEP, AVANT) and receives credit prior to the time he/she would be scheduled to take the course based on the districts grade level offering or 4-year plan sequence,
● Student scores at least at 80% on a CBE, 3 on an AP exam, or 50 on a CLEP exam, and
● Student has attempted to earn credit for a specific class no more than 2 times.
