On Monday, May 4, 2026, the Bryan ISD Board of Trustees took the next step in launching the Bryan ISD Virtual Academy. Bryan ISD is proud to introduce this new, tuition-free virtual learning option for students in grades 3-12 who thrive in a non-traditional setting.
Beginning in August 2026, the Virtual Academy will offer a rigorous online education with two flexible pathways: Full-Time Virtual (grades 3-12) and Full-Time Hybrid (grades 7-12), which will be a blend of virtual and in-person learning.
The program will be open to students who live in the Bryan ISD attendance boundary, as well as out-of-district transfer students.
Students will have access to Advanced Academic courses, while staying connected to the full Bryan ISD experience through extracurricular opportunities such as athletics, fine arts, CTE, and student organizations. Dual credit opportunities will also be available to students in the program.
Admission is based on a review of prior academic records, including grades and STAAR performance (or other comparable assessments). Students requiring specialized services will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Space is limited. Early enrollment is open now through August 10, 2026.
