Social Studies is taught in Kindergarten through Grade 12. Within these courses, students build a solid foundation in history, geography, economics, government, citizenship, cultures, science, technology, and society. Throughout the exploration of these topics, students apply social studies skills and learn content as appropriate for the grade level or course. The program of study emphasizes the importance of patriotism, functioning in a free enterprise society, and appreciation for the basic democratic values of our state and nation.
