Public Notice: Instructional Materials Adoption: for High School Mathematics

For the first time since 2015, a new math instructional resource is being chosen for secondary math teachers across the state. A list of approved resources was provided by the Texas Education Agency. As part of the Bryan ISD selection process, a committee of teachers and the secondary math instructional coaches reviewed the instructional resources included on the Instructional Materials Review and Approval list and chose their top choices. All of the Bryan ISD secondary math teachers were then invited to review the committee’s top choices, hear vendor presentations, and vote for their choice for next year’s secondary math instructional resource. The top choice will be presented to the School Board later this spring for approval.

These secondary math adoption materials being considered for a 2026-2027 adoption are available for public review on April 7 - 17. The resources are located in the Curriculum and Instruction area in the Bryan ISD Administration office (801 S. Ennis St., Bryan, TX 77803).

The materials are listed below:

  • Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry

    • SAAVAS and McGraw-Hill

  • Algebraic Reasoning

    • Cosenza (the only publisher with materials for this course)

Purpose of Review:  This process ensures our educators and students have access to rigorous, high-quality resources that align with state standards and support student success in high school mathematics.
