The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved three principal appointments at its June 15, 2026, meeting. Jacklyn Nacianceno will serve as principal of Bonham Elementary School, Demetruis (Dee) Darnell will serve as principal of Anson Jones Elementary, and Whitney Foreman will serve as principal of Rayburn Intermediate School.
JACKLYN NACIANCENO – BONHAM ELEMENTARY
At the Bryan ISD Board of Trustees meeting on June 15th, the board unanimously approved the appointment of Jacklyn Nacianceno as the new principal of Bonham Elementary School.
Mrs. Nacianceno currently serves as Assistant Principal at Johnson Elementary School in Bryan ISD, which currently holds the highest student performance accountability rating awarded by the Texas Education Agency. She brings more than 15 years of educational experience, all within Bryan ISD. Before transitioning into campus leadership, she served for seven years as an English Language Arts Instructional Coach, providing instructional support to teachers and helping advance student achievement across the district.
Mrs. Nacianceno began her career with Bryan ISD in 2010. She taught at Sam Rayburn Intermediate School before spending many years at Kemp-Carver Elementary School, where she made a lasting impact on the students and families she served. Throughout her tenure, she has built a reputation as a collaborative leader, passionate educator, and tireless advocate for student success.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Nacianceno earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis.
“Mrs. Nacianceno has been a difference-maker throughout her career in Bryan ISD,” said Superintendent Ginger Carrabine. “She leads with passion, builds strong relationships, and is driven by excellence in all she does. We value her unwavering commitment to our students and staff, and we are confident she will continue to lead the Bonham Buccaneers to success and continue the momentum that is propelling the campus forward.”
As principal of Bonham Elementary, Nacianceno will work alongside students, staff, and families to continue fostering a culture of academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and opportunities for every student to thrive.

DEMETRUIS (DEE) DARNELL – JONES ELEMENTARY
The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees approved Demetruis (Dee) Darnell as the new principal of Anson Jones Elementary School during its June 15 meeting.
Ms. Darnell brings extensive instructional and leadership experience to the role, along with a strong commitment to the Jones Elementary community. In 2022, she was promoted to assistant principal, where she has since collaborated with the school’s staff, students, and families to promote academic success and cultivate a positive school culture. Prior to serving in this role, Ms. Darnell served as an English Language Arts Instructional Coach in Bryan ISD for seven years.
Before joining Bryan ISD, Ms. Darnell served as an elementary school teacher in Hearne ISD, where she later advanced to the roles of Mentor and Master Teacher, where she provided professional development, evaluated instruction using established rubrics, offered feedback to support teacher growth, assisted with data and intervention efforts, and served on campus leadership teams. Through this experience, Ms. Darnell developed a strong foundation in instructional leadership and teacher development that has continued to shape her work as an educational leader.
Ms. Darnell earned both her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Education in Administration from Sam Houston State University.
“We are incredibly excited for Ms. Darnell to take the reins at Jones Elementary and continue the outstanding work already taking place on the campus,” said Superintendent Ginger Carrabine. “Her passion for education, commitment to student success, and dedication to the Jones community make her the ideal leader for the Jones Panthers. We are confident she will continue building on the strong foundation of excellence established by the staff, students, and families at Jones Elementary.”
As principal, Ms. Darnell will lead efforts to support high levels of student learning, strengthen relationships with families, and continue creating opportunities for every student to thrive.

WHITNEY FOREMAN – RAYBURN INTERMEDIATE
The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees approved Whitney Foreman as the new principal of Rayburn Intermediate School during its June 15 meeting.
Ms. Foreman currently serves as Assistant Principal at Houston Elementary in Bryan ISD, where she was promoted in 2024. The school currently holds the highest student performance accountability rating awarded by the Texas Education Agency. She began her teaching career at Anson Jones Elementary before moving to Bryan High School, where she taught English Language Arts (ELA). She later joined Normangee ISD, where she served for five years, further strengthening her instructional expertise and leadership experience. In 2023, she returned to Bryan ISD as an Instructional Coach at Rayburn Intermediate School.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Ms. Foreman earned her bachelor’s degree in English and later completed a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Kansas. She is currently in the final stages of her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Kansas.
“Ms. Foreman is a passionate educator and proven leader who understands the importance of building strong relationships while maintaining a focus on student achievement,” said Superintendent Ginger Carrabine. “Her experience, dedication, and commitment to excellence make her an outstanding fit for Rayburn Intermediate. We are excited to see the impact she will have as she leads the Raiders and continues the great work happening on the campus.”
As principal, Ms. Foreman will work alongside students, staff, and families to build on Rayburn's tradition of success and create meaningful opportunities for students to excel both in and out of the classroom.
